Reduced Range of Motion

When joints lose mobility because the muscles around them are so tight they do not move properly, the joint begins to deteriorate. Reduced ROM in one joint also adversely affects the joints that work with it. Thus, if the neck muscles are so tight that the neck loses mobility, the shoulders are also affected as are the elbows and wrists. Proper movement and flexibility are essential to good muscular and joint health.
